Here are some of the guideline and interventions we have put in place to keep students and staff safe during the codiv-19 pandemic:
- Students and staff are to keep to a 2m spacial distance where possible.
- Students will be asked to hand sanitise on arrival, after breaks, or when moving between rooms.
- Where 2m distancing is not possible, 1m with extra precautions will be acceptable: this includes wearing a face mask and extra hand washing.
- You will be expected to wipe down all equipment before and after use. This includes tools, key pads and work surfaces.
- No sharing of equipment will be allowed. If people need to exchange equipment, the put-down, pick-up transfer method will be employed.
- PPE to be cleaned before and after use where appropriate.
- Limited face to face teaching will occur; all students will have an online booking for either their workshops or sessions, where appropriate.
- Please don't arrive early. If you are late, your booking will terminate at the planned time.
- Student bookings can be made via [email protected]
- Room capacity must be adhered to at all times.
- You will be encouraged to 'catch it, bin it, kill it'.
- Please do not move furniture around, as it has been placed according to secure working practises.
- Your work plan will have been discussed in a consultation before arrival, so the best use of your time can be made in a session.
- Many of our workshops will be delivered online through Blackboard Collaborate.
- We will ask how vulnerable you are, if 1m distancing needs to be breached?
- We encourage you to download the NHS testing-and-tracing app.
We understand that this can be a difficult time for people. The university has lots of services in place to help you. Here are some of the most useful ones:
